Is Ifan Dafydd; James Blake? No. He’s Welsh. However, he may have encountered James Blake at some point in his life. Perhaps in a cashpoint queue. He possesses the same jerky beats and sultry sub-bass, but there’s definitely different hands on deck. ‘Miranda’ (above) is subtly angled at the dancefloor, with wonderfully wrecked vocals and bursts of jazz piano.
